CAMTEL Showers Staff’s Children With Gifts, Promises Bettering Working Conditions

Some 300 children of Cameroon Telecommunications, CAMTEL staff, ages between one to ten years have received different gifts from the management ahead of celebrations of end-of-year festivities.

Hundreds of gifts were handed to the children on December 21 in Yaounde in a ceremony chaired by the representative of CAMTEL GM, Fadimatou Aboubakar. She is CAMTEL’s 2nd Technical Adviser.

It is worth noting that each of the kids selected from the staff’s families went home with educative toys and other gadgets matching their respective genders and ages. The first category of beneficiaries ranged from zero to five years and six to 10 years.

Speaking on behalf of the company’s General Manager, Judith Yah Sunday, Fadimatou Aboubakar described the event as a sign of the company’s traditional act which is in line with its social responsibilities and its dedication to bringing joy and smiles to its personnel.

“…This event, as I stated, is a tradition for CAMTEL in line with its social responsibilities and its dedication to bringing joy and smiles to its personnel by organizing these activities during end-of-year festive periods,” Fadimatou Aboubakar said.

Through this celebration as done traditionally, Fadimatou said CAMTEL is renewing its engagement with its personnel through the implementation of the change management and consumer simplicity introduced by top management.

In addition, she pointed out that, “…Also, since we are never satisfied with what we have, CAMTEL through my voice, reassures its personnel that despite the circumstances, it will always be beside its collaborators and other staff to continue bettering the working conditions.”

According to Fadimatou, this end-of-year celebration is also an opportunity to evaluate CAMTEL’s activities.

“In regard to that, I can say with pride that we have an impressive balance sheet this year. Blue, the new commercial brand is gradually but surely gaining ground in mobile telecommunication service delivery through its various offers.”

“We also have other victories that we have been able to record this year which include the certification of CAMTEL by the government through conventions that were signed to exploit mobile and fixed networks. Another success recorded was the huge brand built through the optic services which has improved the quality of our services, especially through the Blue brand,” she stated.

The year 2022 has been an active year for CAMTEL recording a number of great achievements. Besides the certification of its ISO 9001/2015 system, the launching of the company’s Blue service, operation of its mobile network and SIM card, the company also launched its National Roaming Service in partnership with MTN Cameroon. The initiative enables subscribers across the national territory to remain connected to CAMTEL mobile network services by automatically switching to MTN’s network in areas not yet covered by CAMTEL. These initiatives and many more have received great appraisal from Cameroonians.
