The coach of the Gambian national team, Tom Saintfiet says they are not afraid of Cameroon but will play the match to the fullest.
Tom Saintfiet made the statement during a pre-match press conference in Douala on January 28 as the team looks forward to clash against Cameroon in one of the quarter-finals of the on-going TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON in Cameroon.
Gambia coach while reiterated that Cameroon remains a big favorite towards the podium said, “I give my team a 20 percent chance. But we are used to it and since I took office, it has always been the case.”
“We had to fight against stronger teams than us and we managed to get by. Against Cameroon, we will not be afraid; we will play to the fullest. It’s a bonus match,” he added.
