Guinness Super League: Women Smile At Financial Package Getting Set For New Season

The players of the 12 clubs of the Division One Women’s Super League can now smile as the financial package for the new season has seen a boot as announced by the Cameroon Football Federation.

The Guinness Super League season is set to kick-start on April 2022,

Fecafoot under Samuel Eto’o Fils and the Sponsor (Guinness S.A) of the Cameroon Women’s Football First Division Championship are unanimous in their desire to make football in Cameroon shine.

Women’s football, which had long remained in the shadows, will experience a considerable boom.

Women players and club presidents will be put forward for a better development.

Close to FCFA 10 million  will be paid to the clubs. The Clubs of the South will receive a financial support of FCFA 9 million and those of the Northern regions and Southwest FCFA 9.5 million as subsidy.

The players’ stipend has been upgraded  (100,000 CFA francs) from FCFA 50,000 last season and the money is paid directly into their Orangemoney and Mobilmoney accounts.

While the sponsor is paying FCFA 50,000, the Fecafoot would top another FCFA 50000 to make it FCFA.

The five stadiums homologated for the super League games are found in the towns of Bamenda, Yaoundé, Ebolowa, Guider and Douala.
