Canon of Yaounde have earned another three point against Stade Renard, in a melodramatic and spicy soccer encounter, that saw the acclamation of the numerous spectators on Saturday evening at the Ngoa Ekelle Stadium.
Bayegue Junior scored the first opener at the thirtieth minutes of play via a stunning shot for Canon.
Then came at the seventy-ninth minute a counter-attack from Jean Hugues Eyango, who beat Stade Renard’s keeper in a stylish manner to put the second goal for the Nkoldongo boys.
Few minutes to the end of the game was a struck from Emmanuel Eyango at the back of goalkeeper James Djaoyang’s nets , to reduce the score to 2-1 in favour of the kpa kum.
The much awaited day three clash pitting Stade Renard of Melong against Canon Sportive Yaounde, kicked-off in a highly animated play style from both sides with a huge enthusiasm to take an edge over the other.
Canon in her traditional green, red jersey and green shorts were more calm and serene in playing. The athletic and dribbling skills of Joel Ngom on the left wing, continue being a thread for Claude Eyike and mates.
Canon proved to be more interesting with a high pressing, that saw Gerard Bayegue stunning a thunder shock shot at the thirtieth minutes to give the boys of Minkreo Birwe a lead over Stade Renard. The goal opened more chances for a doubler few minutes afterwards from Marius Atiati . But, the Renard defensive man Yvane Aloukou was there to send that ball for a corner kick in favour of Canon.
Stade Renard through Didie Ngando combining with Serge Yesi attempted a long cross for a leveller. Unfortunately,Jean Mvogo in an impeccable defensive play style shattered the Melong equaliser trial.
Fifteen minutes to the end of the first-half was a beautiful and well coordinated ball passes between Pacomes Ninjo and Sindjo Brice that narrowly went way from the cage of goalkeeper Desire Djaoyang of Canon.The Melong boys had ended the first half with much remorse on their faces as Canon was leading.
The second half had kicked-off with Nkoue Junior failing to score a second goal for Canon, at the forty-fifth minutes in a face to face encounter with goalkeeper Maurice Nkoulo of Stade Renard, following an offside action not indicated by the second assistant referee.
Despite the lead, Stade Renard took advantage of the beautiful game, to produce an impeccable soccer, highly applauded by the thousands of onlookers present at the Ngoa Ekelle stadium. Fear took the Canon side as Ninjo succeeded in penetrating into their eighteen meter-box twice for a goal at the sixty-seventh minutes.
However, Canon ‘s reawakening from the short domination by Stade Renard, was a seventy-ninth minutes rapid counter-attack from Jean Hugues Eyango to finally crucify the Melong side in a two goal lead.Pushed by her numerous supporters then came Stade Renard’s lone goal at the eighty-seventh minutes from Emmanuel Mbongo in a five metres hot shot to beat the Canon stopper. And that is how the game came to an end.
