Guinness Super League: Lekie FC Sinks Eding Girls In Regional Derby

Current league leaders, the Lekie FF team on Thursday, January 9 defeated their regional counterpart, the Eding FF by 3-0 to maintain their grip at the top of the league.

In a highly dominated encounter staged at the Ngoa-Ekelle stadium, Lekie FC opened scores in the 11th minute through Farida Machia. Four minutes after, Raissa Nnanga doubled the score line to make it 2-0.

With some minutes left to the end of the first half, Eding FC was brought down to 10 players as Christelle Zobo was shown the exit door to watch from the locker room.

In the second half, Eding tried to reduce the score line but the domination from the girls of Lekie proved to be strong. They however scored the third goal to sink Eding FC.

Out of the six games played this season, Lekie FC has won five and currently tops the league table.

In five of the games played during the sixth day of play, four of them recorded at least a victory while one ended on a goalless draw. In another Day six encounter, Caiman FC beat Ngadeu FC 2-1 while FC Ebolowa edged AS Fortuna by 1-0.
