The first phase of the Guinness Super League has come to an end with Lekie Filles emerging as the champion with 28 points, 35 goals scored and five conceded. The team has demonstrated that it has the best attack so far from the huge number of goals scored.
Also, the top three scorers are Lekie Filles, Raissa Nanga with 09, Brenda Tabe with 09, and Nga Manga with 07 goals respectively.
Two players scored the fastest goals of the first phase, Bongben Confidence and Maicha Farida.
The season produced 11 ‘Woman of Guinnessico’ who were part of the celebrations and they went home with the sum of FCFA 50,000.

The player on her Facebook said she has never changed her identity and traced her transfer for Abawka Girls to Vision Sports which she claims followed the right procedure.

Lekie Filles in a day two game of the Guinness Super League humbled newcomers AS Fortuna 3-0 to maintain the lead. Lekie has won their second game of the season and bagged two Woman or Guinnessico.
Opening scores in the first half through Marie Ngah Manga converted a penalty, Farida Machia doubled for Lekie girls as both teams returned from the break before Brenda Tabe increased the tally to 3-0.
Talking about the performance of the team, Vice-captain, Tantoh Melvis had this to say:
For coach Benoit Otele of AS Fortuna, the penalty destabilized the squad and they could not regain their composure till the end of the game. He however said the team would continue to work hard to win the next game.
Coach Stephane Ndzana for his part maintained that the game was difficult in the first half given they are newcomers to the top-tier competition. They easily group at the defense and rendered the game difficult for opponents.
Ndzana maintained that Lekie would work extra hard to consolidate their achievements so far. The ambition of Lekie Filles is to win more matches to emerge champions.
Lekie Filles of Sa’a has registered her first win of the Guinness Super League season 3 following their 4:2 win over Éclair female football team in the opening game of the Cameroon Women’s Championship dubbed Guinness Super League.
The inaugural match of the season was staged in front of Samuel Eto’o, President of the Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT, accompanied by Celine Eko, President of the Professional Women’s Football League of Cameroon and the Minister Delegate to the Minister of Justice, Jean de Dieu MOMO.
The all Lekie derby match dubbed Guinnessico saw Éclair Filles open scores from the penalty spot in the 10th minute through Eleane Aimee Bibout; the first goal of the season.
Three Minutes later, a lack of concentration in the Eclair defense paved the way for Brenda Tabe Ebika to level scores. A beautiful connection up front gave Raissa Nnanga Ebolo the ability to score twice to put her team in a 3-1 lead over Éclair.
The score line remained unchanged at halftime but Lekie FF bounced back to the limelight with Brenda Tabe netting the fourth goal for her team in the 57th minute.
In the 68th minute, Éclair of Sa’a fought back to reduce the score line when Aimee Bibout again scored from the penalty spot to make it 4:2. The score line remained unchanged at the end of the final whistle.
Raissa Nnanga was voted Woman of Guinnessico. Lekie’s victory was programmed by a huge recruitment this season.
In the meantime, title holders AS Awa FC will battle it out with Caiman Soccer girl on Sunday, January 15 when day One matches go underway all over the national territory.
“My team was up to the task, won the game and the opponent also played well. Lekie is a project that we set up and we have to reach the end. I am the one who manages the project and I brought in coach Benoit Otele, but unfortunately, he decided to go elsewhere and it was not easy. I decided to stay and accompany this team. Our goal is to win all games and by winning the games, we can become the title holders, “coach Stephane Ndzana stressed.
Francis Koloko, Éclair FF Coach for his part said, “It was a difficult match but we have seen the result and we are going to work so that this doesn’t play a psychological effect on our players. It was our first match of the season and it was a psychological match. Our mission this season is to do better than last season and stay within our playing style. We will do all to attain our objective.”
Raissa Nanga expressed her joy, “I am very happy that we won the game. It was collective work and I am also happy that I have been voted as the Woman of the Match. We are happy. Leaving Canon FC was not easy but this year we have a lot to achieve. We have to become champions of the season and personally, I am working hard to become the highest goal scorer of the season.”
