The second phase of the women’s football championship dubbed the Guinness Super League kick-started on Saturday, April 1, 2023, with a Super Guinnessico- the first of its kind.
It was equally an opportunity for the Cameroon football Federation and Guinness to scout for more partners for the women’s championship which get limited attention.
Authentic trashed Louves Minproff 3-1 in an encounter watched by many football fans at the Bepanda Annex Stadium in Douala.
The trio, Solange Larkingam, Shallom Makoma, and Djiffo put Authentic in the lead before Louves Ghislaine Nkou reduced scores late in the game.
Solange Larkingam was voted Woman of the Match and like many before her, bagged FCFA 50000 for her brilliant performance. She enters the records as the 13th Woman of Guinnessico.
Like it was the case during the first phase, Louves Minproff started on a bad note losing three points at the third position on the classification table.
Gifto le Russie, a young Cameroonian musician added spice to the encounter with his popular song ‘Le car qui part..’ -“the car on the move”.
