DADA FC of Noni has been crowned the champions of the inaugural Bui Unity Super Cup. They emerged victorious after defeating Nso Boys FC in a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw in regular time.

Both teams began the match intensely, fully determined to claim victory. DADA FC broke the deadlock early in the game, taking the lead. However, they faced a significant setback when their goalkeeper was sent off for a serious foul outside his area.
Playing 10 against 11, DADA FC tried to extend their lead, but their efforts were thwarted as Nso Boys equalized.

In the second half, both teams fought hard for the win. Spectators, who turned out in large numbers, cheered their teams on. Despite several opportunities created by both sides, the match ended 1-1 after regular time, leading to a penalty shootout in which DADA FC triumphed.
After the match, Dr. Yaah Vivian Asheri Kilo, Secretary of State to the Minister of Basic Education and the initiator of the competition, expressed her appreciation for the atmosphere during the finals. She stated that this is just the beginning of positive developments for Cameroon.

She urged the people of Bui Division to embrace peace and unity, which are essential for progress. “I’m extremely happy with what I saw today,” she said. “The game was very, very interesting. We are happy that all our three communities of Noni, Oku, and Nso came together.”

Dr. Yaah Asheri Kilo added, “Unity is always strength, and you cannot have unity if you don’t have peace. This maiden edition of our Bui Unity Super Cup is just an introduction to the love and unity that these three communities will share.”
According to her, the people of Bui and its surroundings united to express their resolve to make Bui Division livable again. “Seven years is a long time. It’s about time we all put our efforts together to encourage our younger brothers and sisters who are still being recalcitrant. We are tired, and we are really, really tired,” she said.

“Nothing is too difficult to manage. Since we have decided this is the beginning, we will try to do it. We want peace, we want unity, and we want Cameroon to move forward,” she added.

Roger Lawsamba, coach of DADA FC, said, “I’m extremely happy to say I’m a proud coach. It has been a very, very difficult preparation, and after all our hard work, I think I’m extremely proud. I’m happy with my team. Proud to be an Noni man.”
Henry Ngoran, coach of Nso Boys, stated that football is a game of chance and that the best team won. “I want to applaud NADA FC of Noni for lifting this trophy. Our tactics and game plan didn’t work as we intended, but Noni FC is a team to reckon with. If you doubt football, come to Noni. If you doubt football, come to Nso. If you doubt football, come to Bui Division. Let peace reign.”

It is worth noting that this was the second time DADA FC of Noni and Nso Boys FC faced each other in the Bui Unity Super Cup competition. In the group stage, Nso Boys FC defeated Noni FC 3-1. NSODA sponsored the competition by providing medals for the finalists.

The 2024 edition of the Bui Unity Super Cup brought together champions from various competitions across the Bui Division in Yaoundé. The tournament, spearheaded by Dr. Yahh Vivian Asheri Kilo, aimed to foster unity and promote peace within the community.
