Dependable Fai On His First World Cup Expedition
Cameroon is one among the five countries that have qualified to represent Africa in the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup scheduled to take place in Qatar.
A dramatic finish from Karl Toko Ekambi sealed Cameroon’s qualification ticket as the Indomitable Lions beat Algeria by an away goal after a 2-2 aggregate.
The story of the Lions qualifying for Qatar 2022 cannot be completely told without the efforts of Collins Fai alias “Dependable Fai Collins”.
All the appreciation indeed goes to the team but individual performance witnessed during the return leg in Algeria cannot be completely pushed aside.

From the first minutes to the last minutes, the Dependable Fai was on top of his position. His key rule in stopping Mohamed Youcef Belaili on several occasions secured his continued love for the fans.
One many would remember his crosses which he did perfectly. Leandre Geal Tawamba Kana would have sealed Cameroon’s fate during regular time when a cross from Fai Collins could not be used efficiently.
However, the Dependable Fai at the 118 minutes did what he knows best as his cross landed on Michael Ngadeu’s head to allow Toko Ekambi to sweep the ball home into the net for a miraculous qualification.
This would be the first World Cup for Nfomi Bor of Nsoland. Going for the World Cup, all eyes are on him, as many will love to see him demonstrate his smart and swift up-and-down movement in the right flank to keep the team on the move.
Former Cameroon Indomitable Lion, Enoh Eyong is full of praises for Fai Collins. On the Facebook page, he writes, ”
on making it to your first World Cup. Your level of commitment, determination, and discipline is evident for everyone to see.
