FFAC / CAIWOF Executive Director Named World Change Maker
FFAC / CAIWOF Cameroon Indigenous Women Forum, CAIWOF Executive Director, MS Bouba Aeisatu has been named World Change Maker.
CAIWOF Executive Director and 23 other change makers were officially announced during the annual Trust Conference in November 17 and 18, 2021.
She was chosen by a crack team of International jury who scrutinized over 3,000 applications from the seven continents of the world.
The Thomson Reuters Foundation’s Change Maker’s programmer brings together some of the most inspiring pioneers and innovators from across the globe, committed to developing concrete solutions to pressing human rights issues.
“After succeeding in my education I decided to go back to my community to challenge harmful cultural practices and rescue young girls from child marriage Aeisatu stated in a panel during the Thomson Reuters conference”.
This is her second international recognition within two months, for her strive in empowering women and girls especially the indigenous people who are sometimes marginalized at the different levels in the society.
During the Commemoration of the 2021 edition of the International ID-Day, last September 16, she was recognized amongst the Identity-For-All in Africa, ID4Africa 2021 Champions, for her enormous efforts in highlighting the contribution of indigenous people.
