#FIFAWC2022Q: Cameroon Humbles Mozambique 3-1

Cameroon has picked three points following their 3-0 win over Mozambique, during the day three Fifa World Cup qualifiers played at the Japoma 50,000 seater stadium.

Though with a sluggish start, the Indomitable Lions scored in the 28th minute, signed Choupo Moting who in the second half increased their tally.

With the brace, Choupo who has been in top form in the club has given confidence to home fans who have been wondering why he shines in the club and not with the national team.

He had not scored since March 21, 2019.

Karl Toko Ekambi who has not scored with the Lions for a long while shook the net, with the third goal in the 63rd minute.

The Mambas were denied a goal when their striker, who came face to face with the goalkeeper, simply sent the ball in the direction of goalkeeper Epassy,  only for Geny Catamo to reduce the scores in the 80th minute.

Cameroon picked three points against Malawi in their first game and lost the second to Ivory Coast 2-1.

The squad of Antonio Conceicao in a hot chase to topple Ivory coast is hoping to qualify for their eighth World Cup which will be played in Qatar.

Cameroon 6points

Malawi 3 points

Mozambique 1 point
