The Nsobahti Carriere Branch in Yaounde has announced a significant fundraising event aimed at securing the funds needed to purchase a plot of land for the construction of the Nso Community Hall (Ngainso-Carriere).

This vital project is set to benefit the entire Nso community residing in the Carriere neighbourhood and its environs, fostering unity and providing a dedicated space for cultural and social gatherings of the Nso people and their friends.
The fundraising drive is scheduled for Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Cobacabana Hall in Mbankolo. The event will commence promptly at 6:00 PM with cultural animation. Beyond the fundraising efforts, the evening will also serve as a platform to honor key individuals within the Nso community at the Carriere branch.
Several personalities, including Professor Verkijika Fanso and Shofola Emmanuel, will be recognized and celebrated for their unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions to the Nso community’s progress and well-being in the Nsobati Carriere Quarter.
Shey Betrand Lukong, president of the Nsobahti Carriere branch, stressed the importance of this upcoming event, stating that this is a golden opportunity for all sons and daughters of Nso residing in Yaounde to come out massively and show their support for this crucial community project.
He added that contributing to this initiative will not only help Nsobahti Carriere achieve their goal of acquiring the land but will also greatly assist in unifying and solidifying the oneness of the Nso people in the neighbourhood and beyond.”
The construction of Ngainso Carriere is envisioned as a central hub for the Nso community, providing a venue for meetings, celebrations, and the preservation of the Nso Fondom’s cultural heritage.
