Gabriel Zabo In Turbulence Zone As Lionesses Lost Second Match Of Aisha Buhari Cup

The Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon have conceded their second defeat at the ongoing Aisha Buhari Cup in Nigeria.

Newly appointed coach, Gabriel Zabo and girls stood helpless in front of the Black Queens of Ghana as they scored two goals to take the victory of the day.

After a 0-0 first half, the Black Queens upon resumption of the second period opened scores through Spain-base attacker Priscilla Adubea.

Vivian Konadu who had worked tirelessly throughout the game scored the second goal for Ghana to make it two.

Efforts from the Cameroon side who had a beautiful first half didn’t produce any good result.

It is Cameroon’s second defeat in the tournament and the second defeat for Gabriel Zabo since appointed Head coach of the team on June 18.

Cameroon in their first match lost to Morocco 0-1.

Ghana’s victory comes to save them from the defeat suffered at the hands of South Africa during the opening match of the competition.

Cameroon is one among the six nations taking part in the tournament organized to honor the First Lady of Nigeria, Dr. Aisha Buhari in conjunction with the Aisha Buhari Foundation.

The maiden edition started on September 13 and will end on September 21. Teams are using the tournament to prepare for the upcoming  Africa Women’s Cup of Nations qualifiers.
