A solitary goal from Boris Enow in the second half secured a 1-0 victory over Kenya in their Group J match, cementing Cameroon’s position at the top of the group with a 10-point lead.

Despite facing early pressure from Kenya, Cameroon’s goalkeeper, Andre Onana, maintained his composure. The match remained scoreless at halftime, despite both teams having opportunities.

The breakthrough came in the 63rd minute when Enow’s free-kick found the back of the net. Kenya nearly equalized late in the game, but their attempt was deflected for a corner.

After the match, Onana expressed his confidence in Cameroon’s qualification, stating, “I think we’re already qualified. We came here to win, and we did. Happy for the victory because we have shown that we are a great team. I’m happy with how we played. Now we are moving forward.”

He added, “Playing for the Cameroon national team is a great honor and also a great responsibility. Playing with this jersey is something extraordinary. We must always be prepared, and I am very confident.”

With this victory, Cameroon has secured their place in the 2025 AFCON with two matches remaining. They remain undefeated in the group.

Cameroon currently leads Group J with 10 points, followed by Zimbabwe with 5 points. Kenya is in third place with 4 points, and Namibia is at the bottom with no points.
